Healthy Cities: Together We Step – Season 1

To promote a healthy lifestyle, Bupa Hong Kong is launching a Step Challenge now on Blua Health app, starting today till 30 April 2025. Joining is simple! Stay active for at least 30 days, achieve a minimum of 6,000 steps per day, and regularly sync your steps on the app. To join the challenge, first go to “My missions” on the app homepage, then select “Assemble! Health warriors”, and then open “Healthy Cities: Together We Step – Season 1” challenge, finally tap on “Join challenge” and “Sync your steps”.

We appreciate your commitment to staying healthy and want to reward your efforts. The first 5,000 participants who successfully join the challenge will receive 1,000 Blua Points as a Participation Reward. Plus, the top 100 participants with the highest eligible step counts during the challenge period will share a Grand Prize of 5,000,000 Blua Points!

Terms and Conditions:
1. The "Healthy Cities: Together We Step – Season 1" (the “Challenge”), organised by Bupa Hong Kong, takes place from 00:00 on 24 March 2025 to 23:59 on 30 April 2024 inclusive, Hong Kong time (the "Campaign Period").
2. The Challenge is open to all Blua Health App users.

Eligibility and Participation:
3. During the Campaign Period, any eligible participant who opens the ,“Healthy Cities: Together We Step – Season 1” challenge in the “Assemble! Health warriors!” within the “My missions” section, and clicks “Join Challenge” and “Sync your steps” in the Blua Health app will be enrolled in the Challenge. On the same calendar day, steps counted by the participant’s mobile phone (via Health Connect or Apple Health) will be synced with Blua Health app, and these recorded steps will contribute to the participant’s accumulated step count for the Challenge.
4. Steps recorded by your mobile phone on a given calendar day but not synced with the Blua Health app will not be counted towards the Challenge. Only the steps synced at the time of your last “Sync your steps” action will be considered.
For example, if your last click of “Sync your steps” occurs on 15 April 2025, only the steps recorded up to that moment on 15 April 2025 will be counted. Any steps accumulated after your last sync until the end of the Challenge will not be recorded.
To ensure accuracy, participants are strongly encouraged to sync their steps regularly throughout the Campaign Period. You’ll not be able to sync your previous steps in any way after the challenge ends. Bupa Hong Kong will not accept any requests for recovery, supplementation, or adjustments for steps not recorded in the Blua Health app.
5. The Challenge requires participants to engage in at least 30 days of activity, with a minimum of 6,000 steps per day.
6. The maximum daily step count is 20,000 steps. Any steps exceeding this daily limit will not be considered.
7. Participants should assess their own health condition and fitness level before participating in the Challenge. If you feel any discomfort during the mission, please stop immediately and consult a doctor for professional advice.
8. The first 5,000 participants who successfully join the Challenge will receive a Participation Reward of 1,000 Blua Points in their Individual Wallet.
9. All eligible participants will be ranked based on the total accumulated steps recorded in the Blua Health app during the Campaign Period. The Top 100 participants with the highest eligible step counts (only the highest 30-day step count during the Campaign Period will be considered) ("Winners”) will share a Grand Prize of 5,000,000 Blua Points, meaning each Winner will receive 50,000 Blua points in their Individual Wallet.
10. In the event of a tie for the Grand Prize, the total number of days participated will be used as an additional factor to determine the final winners.

Notification:
11. The results of the Challenge, including but not limited to the prize winner’s account name, membership number, and the first four letters of their email address provided for award or prize redemption, will be published on www.bluahealth.com.hk/healthycities/ no later than 15 May 2025.
12. The first 5,000 participants who successfully join the Challenge and the Winners will receive an individual notification regarding their prize via in-app notification on the Blua Health app and/or email on or before 17 May 2025.
13. The Blua Points for both the Participation Award and the Grand Prize will be credited to the prize winners’ Individual Wallet in the Blua Health on or before 31 May 2025.
14. Elite members must switch from 'Group Wallet' to 'Individual Wallet' on the Marketplace page to redeem rewards using their awarded Blua Points.

General:
15. The Challenge will only consider accumulated steps recorded in the Blua Heath app during the Campaign Period as eligible steps and subject to a daily maximum of 20,000 steps. Any steps not synced with the Blua Health app or step records from other mobile applications will not be considered valid and eligible record for the purpose of this Challenge. Bupa Hong Kong will not accept and handle any requests for recovery, supplementation or adjustment of any steps not recorded on the Blua Health app.
16. Participants must still be a Blua Health member on the date of award distribution, otherwise such participant will be disqualified and their award forfeited without notice.
17. The results of the Challenge, including but not limited to the winner’s account name, membership number and the first four letters of their email address provided for award or prize redemption, will be published on www.bluahealth.com.hk/healthycities/ .
18. If any information provided to register a Blua Health account (including but not limited to email address) is untrue, incorrect, incomplete or invalid, the participant will be disqualified from participating in and/or winning the Challenge. Participants are responsible for ensuring that the information provided is accurate and valid. Bupa Hong Kong will not be liable for any losses resulting from inaccurate information, including but not limited to the unsuccessful delivery of notification emails as mentioned in the “Notification” section of these terms and conditions.
19. Anyone who participates in the challenge signifies that they understand and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Challenge. Bupa Hong Kong reserves the right to verify the identity of any winner at any time, before or after the completion of the Challenge. Bupa Hong Kong also reserves the right to refuse or disqualify any participant who, in Bupa Hong Kong’s reasonable opinion, has breached any of these terms and conditions, has acted suspiciously, or has caused or may cause disruption to the fairness in any way, and to hold them accountable to indemnify Bupa Hong Kong for any loss suffered as a result. Furthermore, Bupa Hong Kong’s decision on any participant’s entitlement to an award or prize shall be final.
20. The award or prize is not exchangeable, returnable, transferrable, or redeemable for cash, while it may be used with other Blua Points in the member’s wallet to exchange certain vouchers for goods or services within the Blua Health app. Participants are solely responsible for any additional costs incurred in connection with the Challenge and the redemption or use of any award or prize (if any).
21. Bupa Hong Kong reserves the right to cancel or terminate the Challenge (in whole or in part) or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
22. Bupa Hong Kong reserves the right to replace any award or prize with a different one, and the value and/or nature of the replacement may differ from the original prize.
23. The use of redeemed vouchers, goods or services obtained via Blua Points will be subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the supplier of the vouchers, goods or services.
24. In the event of any discrepancies between the promotional materials and these terms and conditions, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
25. No person other than the eligible participants and Bupa Hong Kong shall have any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce or benefit from any provisions of these terms and conditions.
26. All data of the Challenge (including but not limited to participation time and accumulated steps, etc.) will be based on the data collected by the server in Hong Kong. Bupa Hong Kong shall not be liable for any delays, losses, errors or damages related to information submitted by participants or notification emails sent by Bupa Hong Kong due to technical issues, internet disruptions, or other factors beyond its control. Bupa Hong Kong shall not bear any legal responsibility and participants shall not raise any objections in such cases.
27. Bupa Hong Kong reserves the absolute right of interpretation of these terms and conditions. In the event of any disputes, including those related to eligibility of participants and/or winner selection, the decision of Bupa Hong Kong shall be final and conclusive on all matters related to the Challenge.
28. In addition to these terms and conditions, participation in the Challenge is also subject to the Terms and Conditions of Blua Health app.
29. The Challenge is held in Hong Kong, and these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of Hong Kong. Each eligible participant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
30. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the Chinese and English versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.

Personal Information Collection and Privacy Notice +:
1. By participating in the Challenge, the participants (1) consent to Bupa Hong Kong and Blua Health app accessing and retrieving their personal data from third-party health and wellness applications on the participants’ preferred devices; and (2) consent to these third-party applications sharing their personal information with the Blua Health app.
2. Any personal data collected by Bupa Hong Kong during the Challenge will be used solely for purposes related to the Challenge.
3. The provision of personal data by participants to Bupa Hong Kong is voluntary. However, failure to provide sufficient information may result in disqualification from participating in the Challenge.
4. If participants experience any issues with Blua Health app registration or sign up, they should contact Blua Health Customer Service at cs@bluahealth.com.hk.
5. All data collected during the Challenge, including personal data, will be securely stored and encrypted. After the Challenge concludes (i.e., the expiration date for all award or prize redemptions), the data will be permanently deleted within 60 days.
6. Participants should review the Privacy Notice available on the Blua Health website at www.bluahealth.com.hk/Index_en.html. The Privacy Notice also applies to this Challenge.
7. Bupa Hong Kong (including but not limited to Bupa (Asia) Limited, Quality HealthCare Medical Services Limited and Horizon Health and Care Limited) and/or any members of the Bupa Group, now or in the future, may provide participants with opportunities to post photos, content, or other information, which may be shared with others through their platforms. Bupa Hong Kong may also take photos and/or videos during events such as award or prize presentation ceremonies. By participating, participants consent to the use of such photographic images (in any format) by Bupa Hong Kong and/or any members of the Bupa Group for internal communications and external promotional purposes.
